Hey Everybody,
Are any of you fabulous community-minded people interested in helping out at
the bike centre this term? It's such a great place to be!
By helping fellow students take care of their bikes you are not only helping
clear the air a little but also contributing to the independence and
happiness of another human being... just think how much friendlier KW could
be if we didn't all have to wait for buses!
Shifts are two hours per week. You don't need to know too much about bikes,
usually you just help people change their tires, or grab a rag and some
solvent and attend to the number one cause of bike failure... dirt. You will
have the opportunity to rebuild a bike in your spare moments which is a
great way to gain some insight into how these things really work without
pulling your own ride to pieces. You will also have unlimited access to the
bike centre... you can go down there any time to use the tools or just to
hang out in the cool air-conditioning.
Anyway, Ted is the manager and he would love to hear from anybody who might
be interested in volunteering this term.
His contact details are below.
All the best, and thanks for your time.
Olivia

And, as I begged the other day, please pass on my email to anybody that you
think might be interested in volunteering. As it stands, the BC will be
open for about 10/hours a week (we're normally up around 20hr.) This means
your shifts will be crazy busy...
