The plant is going to seed before packing up the second and last year
of its life, just like the pretty kale down the garden path. I don't
think much will come back at this stage, although the growth of last
glory is certainly impressive. Try some other things - an Indian
salsa of finely chopped parsley, mint, lime juice and tabasco, or
make lots of tomato sauce for pasta. Or blend it up with all sorts
of health foodie greens and give yourself a tonic. My beloved old
aunt "Carrot Juice" Olga Figol used to drink so much of the stuff
that she turned yellow.

I'm away in the Magdalen Islands and Nova scotia for two weeks. I put
up 3 tomato trusses - thought I had several more but I guess they
were never returned by the person I lent them to last year (not this
garden).
