-- Greta and I made a trip to the garden this morning at 11am to uncover
the plants... only to find that someone had beat us to the job!
Fortunately, the weather outside today is so nice that we didn't mind
the extra walk in the sun.

-- The lock on the shed is officially broken. I couldn't even get it to
lock, and a liberal application of WD-40 did not help. The lock exists
now only for cosmetic reasons.
I suggest that we do not bother investing in a new lock: the shed doors
are so flimsy that their purpose now is also merely cosmetic.

-- Taken from the UW Weather Station web site:
"Our low temperature this morning was 0.014°C at 6:00 am, thus we just
managed to stay above freezing.
However, remember that the temperature at the UW weather station is
measured at 2 m above the ground (this is the worldwide standard).
So your plants, that are most likely closer to the ground, may have some
frost damage."
Glad we played it safe.

-- The forecast for tonight calls for a low of +6, so we should be in
the clear for now.

-- It's supposed to rain Friday and Saturday -- a free watering for us.

Gus
