It's perfectly fine by me.

One of our tenants that we came up with is community involvement.

We always end up having some form of foodstuff that is extreme in quantity for the number of people that show up (this year, tomatoes, squash and leeks are the fore-runners), so why not give it away?  

If we don't, the food will just decompose anyway (great for soil and volunteer planting, but not really productive use of our space).

so i gave today one squash, two leeks and some herbs to food not bombs. they
were really happy, greatfull and i should say thanks to all of you and that
it will of course be for a good purpose.
