Subject: [Garden] Urban Agriculture talk Wed at KPL

A few of you know Karin and Greg, who run a Bed and Breakfast in
Kitchener called Little City Farm. The garden group had a field trip
to their place last year, where we saw their greenhouse, outdoor
oven, and other green initiatives.

It turns out they are giving a talk on Urban Agriculture at the
Kitchener Public Library this Wednesday (Sept 24) at 7pm. Apparently
you have to register: 519-743-0271 x255 . This might be a neat talk to
see what people can do about food production in the city.

They also have a website: http://littlecityfarm.ca

The KPL has a bunch of other events related to local food.
Unfortunately I did not advertise the authors of the 100 Mile Diet
coming to speak, but there are other talks and movies happening for a
while yet. http://kpl.org/programs/intouch.html
