*         4 Free Sheds Available - 8ft x 16ft. The roof is slanted in one
direction, the highest point is 9ft the lower point is 7 ft.  All 4 are in
roughly the same condition.  The location of the sheds can be found at

*         The Community Garden Council of Waterloo Region has a new website.

Events (Celebrate Earth Day April 22nd:-))

 

*         Mark Your Calendars for the First Annual Community Garden Fest -
May 2nd from 10am-3pm!  Jim Diers will be speaking, and there will be
gardening workshops and family activities for the whole family.  There will
be a special Volunteer Appreciation for all the wonderful work you are doing
in your gardens; you must come to be entered for the prizes!  See

*         "Taste of Woolwich", a Woolwich Healthy Communities Month Event.
Free event TODAY, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, St Jacobs Community Centre; Donations

*         City Green Cambridge's annual workshop.  Thurs. April 16th, 7-9
p.m at Cambridge City Hall.  Come find out about green initiatives in the
City of Cambridge.  Community Gardens will be represented here as well.

*         Pollination Symposium. Saturday, April 18th - 8:30am-4pm.
Registration fee: $30, payable in cash at the door.  Royal City Ballroom,
Delta Guelph Hotel and Conference Center, 50 Stone Road West, Guelph, ON.
There will be presentations, booths, silent auction, and pollination items
for sale.  

*         Sonoco Earth Day Celebration.  A fun-filled day of family
activities with an environmental theme. Join us at the Laurel Creek
Conservation Area and dig in to plant 1,000 trees and shrubs or enjoy some
hands-on activities offered by local experts! Sunday, April 26, 1:00pm to
4:00pm.  Laurel Creek Conservation Area, Waterloo.  The Community Garden
Council will be here as well.

Garden Success

 

*         Congratulations to The Giving Garden in Cambridge.  They were
recently awarded $200.00 from Cambridge City Council to purchase tools and
supplies for their garden.  The remaining $300.00 they requested was later
donated by a member of the audience.  What a great success!  

*         City of Cambridge Gardens received free advertising in this
