If worst comes to worst I can whip up a map in Inkscape. Getting a
photocopy of a hand-drawn map would help, because I am not sure I 
remember what the garden looks like. 

I vaguely remember someone looking for garden planning software, and
the pickings were slim. But the situation may have changed.
