I can arrange for a volunteer to test for nitrogen, phosphorus, and
pottasium as well as percent organic matter and soil texture at a
university lab. It would take less than 2 hours and one of us would
learn something. There would be no cost. I made arrangements last
year but we were to disorganized to find one of us to do it. Why not
try that again? After all, part of our purpose is learning how to
manage a garden with least reliance on outside props, whether it be
fertilizers, pesticides, or commercial services.
