Hi, Matt!
First of all, I am so interested in getting a plot at the community
garden on Euclid - can you send me more info?
We're a pretty informal group here. We're having a seed planting party
to get our transplants ready sometime in late March and after that
we'll probably meet once to figure out when good group gardening days
are. Typically we meet twice a week at set times, so that we can
mentor and socialize and have a lot of fun. We have a variety of skill
levels and I think we've all improved since joining (I know I have).
We have a big plot that we all share - so everyone helps take care of
everything and we split the harvest. Extras often go to Food Not Bombs
and sometimes St John's Kitchen. We usually try to do a few other
social events, like potlucks, canning parties, and sometimes field
trips.
So hopefully you can come out to the seed party (details will be sent
by email) and meet the fine garden folks for this year. If not, you're
always welcome to show up when you can.
Cheers,
Maddy
