Hello everyone,

Before we get into another term at WPIRG so there's some housekeeping
stuff to take care of.

To start off, I wanted to welcome all of the new folks on the list.
For all of you new to WPIRG, I wanted to provide a "user's guide" to
the listserves. Action group lists are used for communication outside
of meetings (such as coordinating activities, giving updates, etc).
They shouldn't be used for major decisions but can be helpful for
making sure information you want to share reaches everyone in the
group. Sending off-topic stuff (such as invitations to related
events, articles, links etc) is okay, but do so sparingly, label it
as such and try to keep the volume of off-topic stuff down so not to
spam unsuspecting fellow volunteers.

For those of you new to WPIRG (and even some of you who are
returning), you may be interested in our Introductory Leadership
Training happening this weekend. This workshop will cover Consensus
Decision Making and Anti-Oppression. As these are the core principles
of WPIRG (and just useful information), we require that at least one
person from each action group attend. It's happening 10am-4pm this
Saturday and RSVPs can be sent to me at evan at wpirg.org.

If your action group doesn't have a first meeting time, it's probably
a good idea to get one scheduled. There are many times already booked
in the WPIRG office but there is some flexibility in our schedule and
there's always the option of booking another room in the SLC.

Finally, if you're getting email from this list and no longer wish to
be please let me know and I'll remove you.

Have a great term everyone,
