I also have spring wheat.  I use it to grow pots of "cat grass".  That  
way it costs about one cent to grow a potful, instead of $2.50 if you  
buy commercial packets of "cat grass".  If any of you have a cat that  
would enjoy a pot of succulent young wheat to nibble on, let me know  
and I will plant a pot for you.
