Darn it. I simulposted with Ian. 

Looking through the mail archives, it looks like Ian's memory is
better than mine. Last year we had a frost on May 28 (!), and it was
only through the hard work of Candace and Greg that we saved anything
at all. So maybe planting later is warranted, as long as we take
Murphy's Law into account. 

I guess I should have read the archives earlier, because there are a
couple of other points that came up last year: 

- Jason had suggested that we get row cover to help guard against
  frost this year.
- Candace raised the possibility of having an elves brigade that would
  rush to cover tender plants on days when there are frost warnings. 

I will update the frost date on the website.
