Subject: [Haiti] Volunteer meeting and training for the summer semester

Hi everyone!

I've been getting the action group listservs all up-to-date - there  
was a back-log of people who had subscribed but had not been approved  
because there was no list administrator. So that explains any dated  
emails that you've been receiving. Everything should now be caught up  
for the mailing lists.

Onward!

Dates and locations have been set for the volunteer meeting and  
volunteer training of the summer semester. For the volunteer meeting,  
it would be great to get at least one action group member out from  
each of the action groups.

Volunteer meeting:

The volunteer meeting will be on Thursday, May 6th from 5pm-7pm in the  
Multi-purpose room of the Student Life Centre. This meeting will serve  
as an orientation session to WPIRG for people who want to get involved  
in the action groups. It will also give new volunteers an opportunity  
to meet with current action group members.

Who is able to come out to the volunteer meeting? Please email me and  
let me know if you will be there to talk about your action group.

Volunteer training:

A volunteer training workshop on anti-oppression and consensus  
decision-making is set for Saturday, May 8th from 10am-5pm in the  
Student Life Centre room 2143. This meeting is open to all action  
group members. Additionally, we recently decided that it will be  
mandatory for 2 members of each action group to attend this training.

Who from your action group will be coming to the volunteer training  
workshop? Again, please email me and let me know!
